Spellcasting Rotations

(taken from maximizing your moonkin DPS post) Pending on gear level, wrath may out-DPS starfire in a raid or vice versa. It doesn't matter, as the DPS is close enough to where it's insignificant. How much DPS each rotation outputs is a result of how many casts you are able to land.

The most common casting rotation is this: IS/MF/SFx3
The highest DPS casting rotation is this: IS/MF/Wx6
The highest DPM casting rotation is this: IS/SFx4

Just stumbled on your blog today from the linkback, I'm looking forward to reading more!

In raids I mostly use the IS/MF/SFx3 rotation, although whenever Nature's Grace procs I switch to wraths. Seems to work pretty well for me anyhoo, although I do run out of mana even with a relatively decent manapool of over 10k. I really need to work on my Mp5 >_<

Thanks a lot! I have enjoyed yoru blog for a couple months now. Never really knew there was such an avid wow blogging community.

I am only 60, so no rading yet. I find it easier to just open up with SF and then IS/MF and wrath cannon.

I imagine once I move up to bosses I will do as you do. :)

Speaking of more Mp5 - I really hope they implement that change from the recent "fake" 2.4 patch notes where they remove the mana on melee mechanic and replace it with % of Int back on spell crit.

It makes so much more sense intuitively.

I'd also love improved moonkin aura which gives a % Spi as Mp% to group.
